E-Learning Course

Introduction to Data Analysis with Pandas

Task: Empower a fast-growing business to scale up and automate its data analysis workflow.

Audience: Business professionals whose data analysis needs have evolved beyond Excel's capabilities, but who lack formal coding knowledge.

Strategy: I designed and developed an interactive course that shows just how easy it is to learn pandas (an open-source data analysis library in Python) if you already use Excel. Learners embark on a "Data Rescue Mission," engaging in scenario-based learning throughout the course to apply each new concept in a real-world context. By the end of the course, even Python novices will be able to perform complex data analysis tasks with just a few lines of code.

Master the Rich Content Editor in Canvas

Task: Help a school district reach 95% Canvas adoption within 3 years of implementation.

Audience: High school teachers transitioning from Google Classroom to Canvas, as well as teachers integrating an LMS into their practice for the first time.

Strategy: I converted a 40-minute in-person training to a 6-minute video overview to support teachers who could not attend the in-person training or wanted a refresher. By demonstrating the tool in real time and building a realistic page, I aimed to alleviate potential anxiety among teachers who were still reluctant to try it out. Thanks to the work of the technology team, the district achieved its implementation goal on schedule.

Google Sheets for Teachers

Task: Develop an instructional resource that empowers educators to build Google Sheets proficiency through scaffolded learning pathways and real-world applications.

Audience: K-12 teachers looking to improve efficiency, track student progress, and enhance classroom workflows using Google Sheets.

Strategy: I structured the website using a scaffolded learning approach (Beginner, Advanced, and Classroom Ideas options) to encourage personalized learning and progressive skill-building. I incorporated UDL design principles by including multiple learning modalities (job aid, interactive workflows, real-world examples) to meet diverse learning needs. By providing educators with practical use cases based on my own classroom experience, I sought to encourage learners to translate their skills into action.
